But as the server is not up and running that is costing a fortune to the business, so there is no way to limit AWS billing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are\nmultiple ways, you can restrict the elevation of price on billing by following\nsome standard method which includes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shutting\ndown the servers which are not in use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the Storage\nlifecycle to store the data to different storage type based on its usability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using Lambda\nfunction to trigger a backup or stopping servers at night when they are not in\nuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Try to leverage\nthe spot instance where it is applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Try to leverage the Reserved instance if the time horizon is longer. It saves a fortune, trusts me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Create a script to delete the EBS volume which is in the available state for a period of 2\/3 days or as per your company standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use IAM policy\nto restrict users to launch bigger instances type for testing purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are\nmany other ways, you can do apart from that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, there\nis a way you can setup an email alert when the price crosses a certain amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To do that,\nyou can follow the below process.
